Continuing my mini series of OC portraits, I really wanted to get a nice detailed picture of Lexi, as I feel that before now she’s been somewhat overshadowed by Josie and fluff and deserved some attention for herself (I hope you agree ^^). I really had a lot of fun doing this one, doing all the little details focusing on my anatomy and posing. Still feel I have some work to do on my shading, could be a little crisper. But overall I’m happy with the way it turned out.

My part of an art trade with Emeya

The idea behind the trade was to draw the others’ character in a fairytale theme / setting. So I took Emeya‘s character Maddison and plopped her into the story of Cinderella. Only her proportions have meant that her dress doesn’t quite fit as well as it might… It’s sure to attract the undivided attention of the prince though

It occurred to me when deciding what to draw next, that I had never done a close up picture of Josie. So I decided to draw an image of Josie in central park in her home city of Casey. It shows Josie in a bit more detail than I usually do, particularly her face. Anyway I had some fun drawing it, and I hope you enjoy seeing her too ^^

Fan Art – Maid Mischa

I don’t know how many people have been hanging on the edge of their seats since the start of the year waiting for this series, but i’ve finally got around to drawing the final fan art piece that you voted for (see: Tuesday Tidings – 22)

Thanks for everyone who voted, sorry for the delay, but hopefully this proves that if i say I’m gunna do something, I (eventually) actually do it ^^

So as I eluded to, this is the third and final fan art piece from the fan art poll. Here is my attempt at drawing the fabulous maid mischa owned by bouncymischa. I love the way her valve is in her hip there, and an all around fun character to draw. Tried a few new tricks and techniques but nothing too out of the ordinary. Fan Art – Suki

A little while ago I posted a poll asking which of my favourite DA characters you’d like to see me draw, and top of the poll was MilkyBody‘s Suki. Now is it coincidence or meticulous planning that I just so happened to post it on his birfday… We’ll never know ^^ Either way happy birfday Mabo, and thank you for creating such a beautiful character!

I’m sure nobody is really that interested in this stuff, but I think I’ll also talk a bit about the image, as I did try out a few new things with this. With every drawing I’ve done I’ve learnt new and ‘better’ ways of doing stuff, or at least ways of doing stuff that I prefer. With this one, I really tried to capture the essence of the character in my disney derived style, but added some more detail in the line work. All I did to achieve this was; after the final lines were in place I contoured the outer lines making a greater profile thickness which offsets the thiner detail lines within. I think it really gives it more of a cartoon appeal, and makes it that bit more stylistic. So this is something I definitely want to use more in future. 

I also played around with the way I coloured this. It’s based on my previous technique of shading, but I used the blend tools of manga studio to get those really subtle gradients over the curves. What’s amazing is it actually took me less time and effort than my previous technique of using the brush and eraser tools. Hair is, as always, an ongoing experiment. I think I’m getting closer to a style I like. The problem is, it always ends up looking so static. So thats something to work on.

I had a lot of fun drawing Suki, she has a lot of personality, which made it fairly easy to settle on a pose. I did think about doing an inflation pic, but in the end decided to just draw her in her ‘vanilla’ state. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Thanks again for voting, I’m glad you all chose Suki, she’s a real gem. And Happy Birfday again Mabo, hope you have a good one ^^

This is my part of a trade with 

The idea was to have both characters be inflated simultaneously by Fluff, so I went with the ever decreasing space of a lift.

I really struggled with this, as I couldn’t get the colours right. In the end I just kinda gave up and hope my lighting would cover it up

I tried sum new things with this one, most notably painting the background and doing sum lighting. The idea was to have a ratty looking fella pointing an air hose at Josie like a gun, he was spost to be brown but i preferred green skin with a brown coat. I thought the best place for this to happen was in a dark alley, another first for me.

Bita info: From what I understand of the character, princess sammy often gets magically transformed into various things. After consulting with Sammy we decided to magically transform the princess into an inflatable doll. Hopes ya like it!

Well I say it was requested by Skie, but I’ve been itching to do an image of Skie for quite a while now. The story behind this one is that Fluff has somehow managed to get both Josie and Skie’s boobies to grow… Fluff manipulated Skie’s milk tally, meaning she has drunk more than the recommended dose… And Josie (as per) has been plugged into an air tank Fluff just so happened to have lying around 

I treated this one as a commission. I spent more time on this one than any image I’ve done here on DA, so if you’re thinking of commissioning when I eventually get around to it, this is a good base of standard and style.
